The art industry

The art industry's vision is to continue to develop the Arts Industry's products with a focus on sustainability and good craftsmanship of high quality. At the same time, they continuously work to add new product lines and concepts to their portfolio.

The history of the art industry started long before the previous owners Ib and Jette opened shop opposite the Museum of Fine Arts in Bredgade in Copenhagen in 1993. The prehistory was that Ib had learned to cast light on his former father-in-law, who had been casting light since the 1950s, and jette and Ib decided this was to be the basis of their business.

Quality was crucial for the family throughout the years and there has been continuous experimentation with light mass, wicks and casting technician to reach the unique wax salt candles. The wax salt candles are the company's signature product. The lights gradually became more and more popular and about 10 years after the start-up in Bredgade, wholesale trade was established.

Over the years, a number of other products have been added, including dyed dipped lights, candlesticks, hurricanes, accessories for light, the Living by Heart brand and much more. Part of the products is the art industry's own design, which means that you won't find them anywhere else.

Today, the art industry is owned by the contractors Britta and Steen Frost.
