Vision and mission sometimes mix together. Here I will describe what a vision is.
Having a clear direction so that everyone in the company knows which direction is being worked for is crucial to success.
We know that there are many megatrends that affect the company and business in general, our society and the economic situation. We know that there are robots, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, drones, sharing economy, globalization, sustainability, urbanization, big data and much more. But none of us know what the future holds in concrete terms and when – therefore it is now a matter of, in the best way and from the megatrends that move, to make a best offer for a future scenario and then describe the vision.
Here it is important that you keep in mind what the company is striving for – in other words, in which direction should the company move.
There are several definitions of vision. The definition we use in MakeMyStrategy™ is:
"A vision is an ambitious picture of the future desired position - a guiding star for everyone in the organization. The vision must express a credible and attractive future for the organization - a future that is better than the present in crucial areas.
1.There must be a direction, a movement, something that can change.
2.There must be an ambition for something that can be better than it is today.
3. and then the vision must ensure your competitiveness"

It takes imagination to formulate a vision that really not only motivates, but also pushes employees and any action in the right direction. Steve Jobs once said:
"If you're working on something exiciting that you really care about, you don't have to be pushed. The vision pulls you."
A vision must not only be drawn up so that you can then tick the check mark by now it is completed. Together with your other strategy material, it must be translated into concrete actions . An easy and simple approach is to use MakeMyStrategy™ as structures and summarize all your work into one comprehensive and coordinated action plan.
It really took off with MakeMyStrategy - I highly recommend taking the system in
